1958

  • Born 19th June in Dymchurch, Romney Marsh, Kent.

1975

  • Trained as a glass engraver and process glass designer.

1981-83

  • Numerous small exhibitions of paintings and engraved glass in London and Brighton.

1986

  • Elected to member of the Guild of Glass Engravers

1987

  • Turned professional as a wildlife artist.

1989

  • Met and became friends with David Shepherd OBE.
  • First field trip to Tanzania

1990

  • Three limited editions released
  • One man show in Canterbury Kent

1991

  • Donated image to the 'Whaletail' Exhibition of the East African Wildlife Society.

1992

  • Founding member of The Wildlife Art Society. ( & Chairman)
  • Regular demonstrations for art product companies Liquitex, Staedtler and Windsor and Newton.

1993

  • Signed with Soloman and Whitehead publishers, first print 'Piggies' released.
  • Began teaching students privately.
  • Artist in residence at Wildarts show

1994

  • Engraved glass centrepiece for Croydon Borough Council and Y.M.C.A.
  • Engraved war tribute for U.S.A. Museum, Texas

1995

  • Commissioned to paint the portrait of Mr Edward Lowassa, Minister of Land and Development, Tanzania.
  • Artist in residence Amann Galleries, Milwaukee USA, One - man show ( Sold out on opening night).
  • Artist in residence at Nature in Art, Gloucester.

1996

  • Elected fellow of the Wildlife Art Society
  • Commissioned to paint the portrait of Rough Quest (Winner of the Martell Grand National in 1996).
  • L/e Prints of Rough Quest raised £2000 for the Injured Jockeys Fund.

1997

  • Three images in Sotheby's London
  • Image of Rough Quest hung at the Society of Equestrian Artists annual show.
  • Artist in residence at Marwell Zoo Park with Mathew Hillier.

1998

  • Invited to the South Eastern Wildlife Expo Charleston USA ( SEWE)
  • Three paintings at Christies South Kensington, London
  • Six paintings into Limited Editions for the Born Free Foundation
  • Artist in Residence at Nature in Art, Gloucester
  • Invited to the Dutch Wildlife Art Show, Holland.

1999

  • SEWE Charleston USA
  • Sotheby's auction for Born Free Foundation
  • Christies Art for Survival Auction - DSWF.
  • Elected member of the Society of Animal Artists USA
  • Artist in residence at the Malilangwe Artist Trust, Zimbabwe, Africa.

2000

  • One man show Half a Sixpence Gallery, Kent, UK
  • Dutch Wildlife Art Show, Holland.

2001

  • SEWE Charleston, USA.
  • One man show at Half a Sixpence Gallery, Kent, UK.
  • Exhibited with the Society of Animal artists, Mall Galleries, London
  • Elected member of the National Acrylic Painters Association ( NAPA)
  • Artist in Residence Nature in Art , Gloucester.
  • Dutch Wildlife Art Show, Holland.

2002

  • Winner of the Wildscape Magazine's 'Artist of the Year' competition, (Professional category) with a painting called ' King of Kings'.
  • C.L.A. Game Fair, Blenhiem Palace, UK
  • Artist in Residence Nature in Art, Gloucester, UK.
  • First field trip to Namibia and Etosha N.P.
  • Christmas Studio Show, for Clients and Friends.

2005

  • April One man Show at Half a Sixpence Gallery , Kent UK
  • May One Man Show A-Frame Gallery, Brecon, Powys, UK
  • June Supported David Shepherd and the Foundation at the Art for Survival Show at the Tryon Gallery London ( Two major paintings sold )
  • August Field trips incorporating wildfowl and wetland areas within UK
  • December Christmas studio show for friends and collectors

2006

  • April one man show Half a Sixpence Gallery, Kent UK
  • Major work on house kept me very busy, so few dates appear
  • September 1st married Catherine Harvey in Hythe
  • October honeymoon and a field trip combined to Florida USA
  • November signed with Mr Ross Parker President of Call of Africa and Native Visions Gallery, Florida USA. He is my sole agent and gallery chain in the USA.

2007

  • March works on show at Safari Club International show, Reno, Nevarda USA
  • April Birds in art show ( mixed) Naples Florida USA. Also Catherine and I studied Osprey as they nested along Gulf shorelines.
  • April Birds in art show ( mixed) Ft Lauderdale, Florida USA
  • May Awarded Conservation Artist of the Month, by my piers at Artists for Conservation USA
  • May Signed with DDFA Licensing for UK secondary licenses on my artwork.
  • June One Man Show Half a Sixpence Gallery, Kent UK
  • July Invited as Artist In Residence at Nature in Art, Gloucester, UK
  • Catherine and I went to South Luangwa, Zambia for a field trip
